Hotel Management / Business Schools in Switzerland
The University of St. Gallen, Switzerland (HSG) is a top business school in the German-speaking part of north-eastern Switzerland, approximately 280kms from Geneva and 150kms from Berne. Initially offering only a full-time MBA, which is now successfully ranked internationally, a part-time study option was added to the MBA in 2008 with two intakes each year.
All of our programmes are taught entirely in English. Students are encouraged to take advantage of complementary language courses. German language classes are mandatory for participants not speaking German.
The full-time and part-time MBA programmes are based on the same philosophy of integrative management from the St.Gallen Management Model and share much of the same content and faculty. We also limit both classes to no more than 50 participants in order to foster both a healthy pedagogical environment as well as a closeknit and durable network. Small class sizes also enable us to provide a high level individualised career services and coaching, as well as facilitating close interaction with faculty and guest speakers.
In addition to the MBA programmes, we also offer the Programme for Leadership Development (PLD).

- Full-time MBA (1 year)
- Part-time MBA (18 - 36 months):
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme is divided into 3 parts. The core modules focus on a range of general management subjects. The modules are typically taught in blocks. Electives are then offered and students may select out of the 22 modules offered. The MBA project or thesis is carried out in the third part, and a mandatory capstone course is conducted prior to graduation.
